The physical location of Portugal has influenced many aspects of the country’s history, identity, and culture. In fact, on our recent travels to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal and known as the City of Seven Hills, we quickly realized just how embedded into Portuguese society its maritime roots were and are to this day.
